I’m working on the next pair of socks now. Using Crystal Palace Panda Cotton with Color # 0061 Seascape. $6.90 a ball of 170 yds on 32 inch size 1 Addi Circular needles using the magic loop method.
The first recipient of my hand-knit socks. He insisted that they fit very well. but I know one of them must be tight. It’s only the 2nd pair of socks I knitted so improvement is definitely coming.

My first successful image from the ppc phone. Forgotten about the camera function of this Sprint PPC 6700 and never used it. Now I’ve found a great purpose for it, taking pictures of my knitted work and send it immediately to this blog. Yipee!!
Started on the chart portion of the Shetland Shawl from row 6. Then struggled between 6 and 8 a couple of time, finally realized that on the odd rows you read backwards on the chart. ha. What a discovery! Should have figured that one out in the beginning. But it was too hard to fix problems with a lace pattern, I simply tore everything out and started over again. I have more patience than I realize with knitting. I never minded tearing things out and restarting a project so far. I just figure it’s a learning process, my motivation is still high up there. I think I made it to row 15 and had to stop around 11:30 and went to bed. Darn, this work thing is really getting in the way.
