With a lot of fuss, finally got a pic from my Nikon camera. Guess I need to take some lessons on how to take pictures.

I started to feel sick as the day went on. Sore throat got worse, backache started. Took some mega Vitamin C hoping to ward off whatever it is. It didn’t help much. By 2:30p, I wanted to go home and lay down. But logs are not all on the new server, and the only profile was having problem, and all of a sudden, questions and problems flew in like a storm. I couldn’t get out till after 5pm. Barely craweled in the car and got home with aches all over. Probably a cold is coming on. Tido cuddled with me for a nap and now I’m up and still achy.

Maybe I’ll get a sick day tomorrow.

It’s amazing if you just live in your own world and don’t poke your head out. I just went to ‘colorsknits’ site. Man, those pictures are fantastic. Then I come back to my site, wo, did I say the quality of the pictures was not bad? I take it back. It’s horrible. I’ve got to use a real camera to take pictures. The pocket PC phone is very, I mean, very convenient. You take a picture and send it directly to the blog. But they look aweful, fuzzy and dingy.

Been dreaming about knitting a shawl. And this one is finally starting to take shape. There is such a satisfaction and enjoyment in watching the lace pattern develop. My first shawl and I’m still learning to read the chart but it’s always a wonder how the k2tog and p2tog, and yarn overs can produce such a delicate looking piece of art.

Of course inspector benny and tido have to make sure the sock is up to par. But they won’t stay still for a pose.

Came home from work, got a beer from the frig and headed out to the pool to clean the filter, skim the leaves, put away stuff to the garage and plant some herbs in the pots that Leo has brought over. Need to get more planting soil for basil and cilantro. Put a couple of laundry in the wash, sprayed weed killer in the drive way, clean the kitty litter box. And knitted.

The 7 hours at home passed so much faster than the 9 hours at work. And every night I have to tell myself to go to bed by midnight so I can get up in the morning.

Jason came to tell me that the webtrends server crashed at the end of the day. Contacted paul and he got me a senior tech support to talk to, got me the license key and downloaded the software in preparation to install it on a new server if we can’t revive the hard drive. It’s going to be a busy few days coming up.

And it’s midnight again and should go to bed now, dance classes tomorrow night, it’s going to be a long day.
