It’s a busy day today. In the morning, we started the fireplace fixing project. The pilot light went out and we had no idea how to light it again. I tried to follow the quick instruction we found under the fireplace, but it didn’t seem to work. So L found the manual online and after I took the fireplace apart and moved the fake logs aside, I finally found the pilot light. The method described in the instruction to light the pilot worked because I was able to see it then. It was hidden behind the window under the fake logs. Anyway, so mission accomplished.
L went hiking and I went to Staples and Sam’s. Got lots of labels and some 22lb 94 bright paper for more Midori booklets. The 24lb is a bit heavy. But after writing in the book I made yesterday I actually quite like it. The ink doesn’t bleed through, not even the highlighter. Paper is very smooth too. But I’ll still make another book with the 22 lb paper and see how that performs.
This is a whole new territory for me. I have never tried to make my own pages to write or decorate before. But all this is stirring up my creative juice. And it gives me the motivation to write and think and in a way, it fuels me to write here too. For some strange reason, life seems to be fun again.
