We went to Yummy Garden for lunch. I really wanted Dim Sum but it’s not the right day to go. Got the dish we liked last time, the mixed dish with all kinds of meat and vegetables. And our waitress recommended the beef with Chinese peppers. Both are good. I still like the first one better. Had the boba tea also. It’s ok.

We went to Rockne’s for lunch. Their soup and salad combo is huge. My side salad is bigger than Leo’s buffalo chicken salad with more vegetables. Have to take half of it home. That’s a salad.

New glasses, my reality from now on. I had several good years without them at all. I can still function better than before the lasik. Also my weight has come down to that of 30 years ago. Not by intentional dieting. The month in Palo Alto started it. But I was indulging in all kinds of good tasting food including fresh morning pastries. My lucky month.

We went to the Brick House for lunch after a stop at the Michael’s for some picture frame that Leo is looking for. He actually printed 6 of my words on a 8×11 photo paper and wanted to frame it.
The food was ok but both of us came home with tummy aches. I still can’t think of food right now. It could be the calamari. The wild mushroom flatbread wasn’t very good either. The bread was hard and chewy, there was very little mushroom or arugula.

Had lunch at Panera today. Clam chowder soup and green goddess salad. Both are ok but not great. Soup isn’t really creamy, it has separated. And I forgot to ask the bacon on the side. I never liked eating bacon. I like cooking with its grease but the texture and the taste of the bacon never attracted me against popular opinion.
Walked Benny and his friend Abbey was out too. She always hurried over to say a quick hello and walked on. Loved the clouds.

Most things in life that bother us comes from our insistence on having it our way instead of letting it be. Whether we have the good intention or our ego talking, the wisdom of ‘letting it be’ applies 99% of the time.

Having a book to read though, you stop reading when your mind starts wandering.

Usually there are tons of tourists or visitors to the beach to watch the sunset and I was lucky to capture a few good ones that has nobody in it.
Had the eye doctor’s appointment today for one month follow up. He was quite happy about the progress and took a picture of the retina to show me the blood has moved away from the center of the phovia and the liquid has been absorbed a lot too. Even though I still can’t focus on that eye, he was almost saying I should be able to see. Maybe I can in the next few months. I hope so.
