Be Aware.  Know. Discover.  The Chinese and the English word can almost mean the opposite.  Aware  calls for a mental understanding, while 悟 calls for a non knowing.  Sometimes there is just no exact translation between two languages.  Could that mean different culture would have different interpretations of the word we are in?

It was a bit challenging to find the right word for soul strangely enough.  Usually we use two words, but I think this one is more appropriate for soul.  And I will save the other one for the spirit.

We went to Safron Patch again for lunch.  We almost didn’t go because I was not feeling 100% today.  Glad we did though, the food was great as usual.  And the waitress was friendly and explained things to us.  Good meal there again.

Be Love Now, Live in the Now. Been listening to Ram Dass, watching documentary about him. Just started watching a video with him and Eckhart Tolle. Of course I feel bad for him transforming from someone so quick and connecting in his talks to struggling with words.  And I realized also that we ‘judge’ people by their words.  In his case, there is a disconnection between his soul and his words, and we want to help him and find the words for him.  In reality, we are practicing judging rather than love.

Lately I haven’t been able to focus.  The frequent interruptions of sleep seems to affect my concentration more.  Tido is the culprit.  My staying up too late is another.  So, I need to get my sleep back on track and get my focus back.

This afternoon’s Benny walk was beautiful.  It’s hot, 90 degree weather.  But the clouds were awesome.

Caroline Myss loves to use the word “truth” in her talks.  For her, it is the absolute, non-bending laws in the universe.  Now every time I see the word, I think of her.

The three L’s.  Live more, love more and laugh more.

We went to Yummy Garden for lunch.  I really wanted Dim Sum but it’s not the right day to go.  Got the dish we liked last time, the mixed dish with all kinds of meat and vegetables.  And our waitress recommended the beef with Chinese peppers.  Both are good.  I still like the first one better.   Had the boba tea also.  It’s ok.

Serve, service. The easiest thing that will take us closer to our higher self. It’s a noble notion but how hard it is to actually perform the service to those we think are not worthy of it.  Our judgement gets in the way and we fail the attempt because of our ego.

Have the courage to be yourself.  Agagin, having problem finding the ideal translation for Chinese.  Finally decided on the single word so the imagination can combine it with any other fitting word for the reader.

We went to Rockne’s for lunch. Their soup and salad combo is huge.  My side salad is bigger than Leo’s buffalo chicken salad with more vegetables.  Have to take half of it home.  That’s a salad.

This was the word that KSU used a long time ago for their keyword on the PR images.  Nevertheless, I like the word.  It promises dreams that may never come to you otherwise.

New glasses, my reality from now on. I had several good years without them at all. I can still function better than before the lasik. Also my weight has come down to that of 30 years ago. Not by intentional dieting. The month in Palo Alto started it. But I was indulging in all kinds of good tasting food including fresh morning pastries. My lucky month.

When I was making this letter, I didn’t have a plan except for the word.  Then the placement of the letters.  Then the color and then the snowlike brush strokes.  They came to me, I didn’t create them.  That’s the magic of art and the process is a journey.

We went to the Brick House for lunch after a stop at the Michael’s for some picture frame that Leo is looking for.  He actually printed 6 of my words on a 8×11 photo paper and wanted to frame it.

The food was ok but both of us came home with tummy aches.  I still can’t think of food right now.  It could be the calamari.  The wild mushroom flatbread wasn’t very good either.  The bread was hard and chewy, there was very little mushroom or arugula.
